In the summer of 1983, after doing her residency in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, and pediatric departments for one year, she started to work as a medical doctor in the gynecology department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With some luck and exceptional ability, she was chosen to be one of the last two apprentices to one of the most celebrated contemporary TCM gynecology master – Professor Luo Yuan Kai （罗元恺教授).
In the following years, under the guidance of professor Luo, she had treated thousands and thousands of gynecology patients with a large variety of illnesses, using acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, pharmaceutical drugs, and surgery. In her daily practice, she often used acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to treat her patients, but if needed, she prescribed medication or performed surgery.
Due to her outstanding ability to perform complex surgeries, she soon earned the honor to be the “first knife” to perform the largest and most difficult surgery in the gynecology department – hysterectomy. Those were the years that she built a solid foundation for her future career development in Montreal.
Since 2002, she gradually focused her practice to treat infertility and gynecology patients. Over the years, her professionalism and treatment efficacy have earned the admiration of countless infertility patients and impressed numerous fertility doctors in Quebec
À l’été 1983, après une année de résidence en médecine interne dans les départements de chirurgie, gynécologie et pédiatrique, elle a commencé à travailler comme médecin au département de gynécologie du Second Hôpital Affilié de l’Université de Médecine Traditionnelle Chinoise de Guangzhou. Avec une certaine chance et des habilités exceptionnelles, elle a été choisie pour être une des deux dernières disciples de l’un des plus éminents experts en gynécologie médicale chinoise (中医妇科), le professeur Luo Yuan Kai （罗元恺教授）.
Dans les années qui ont suivi, sous la supervision du professeur Luo, elle a traité des milliers de patients en gynécologie présentant une large variété de maladies, en utilisant l’acupuncture, les herbes chinoises, les traitements pharmacologiques et la chirurgie. Dans sa pratique quotidienne, elle utilisait souvent l’acupuncture et les herbes chinoises pour traiter ses patients, mais, au besoin, elle prescrivait une médication ou procédait à une chirurgie.
En raison de sa capacité exceptionnelle à effectuer des chirurgies complexes, elle a vite gagné l’honneur d’être le first knife pour effectuer la chirurgie la plus difficile dans le service de gynécologie : l’hystérectomie. Ce sont ces années d’études et de pratique qui lui ont permis d’acquérir une solide fondation pour sa future carrière à Montréal.
Depuis 2002, elle a graduellement orienté sa pratique dans le traitement de l’infertilité et des troubles gynécologiques. Au cours des années, son professionnalisme et son efficacité clinique ont gagné l’admiration de nombreux patients et ont impressionné plusieurs spécialistes de la médecine reproductive au Québec.
1983年的夏天，经过在内科、外科、妇科及儿科一年时间的住院医师轮科培训后，张爱娜医师被调回广州中医药大学第一附属医院妇科开始独立临床。因能力突出，她有幸被选为当代最著名的中医妇科专家之一罗元恺教授的最后两个入室弟子之一。
接下来的几年，她在罗教授的指导下运用针灸、中药、西药及手术治疗了成千上万的妇科病患者，所患疾病各异。临床上，她常将针灸与中药结合用于治疗，必要时也开西药或做手术。
因她对复杂的手术操控的能力突出，很快成为了妇科最大最难的手术—子宫切除术的主刀者。这些年的经历为她之后在蒙特利尔事业的发展奠定了牢固的根基。
2002年之后，她逐渐将临床的重点放在了不孕症及妇科病，这些年来，她的专业技能及临床疗效在魁北克受到了无数不孕症患者的认可，并令很多不孕症医生对其钦佩有加。
